Alexandre Gama is one of Brazil’s most successful and well known advertisers. He created his own advertising agency that is called Neogama or Newgama as it would be translated in English. Mr. Gama was born in 1958 in the city of Rio de Janiero. He will turn 60 years old in 2017 on July 1st.
The educational background of Alexandre Gama includes a bachelors degree in advertising and communications from one of Brazil’s top colleges. This is the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation in Sao Paulo, Brazil. After completing his marketing and communications studies at the FAAP, Alexandre Gama secured a job at the marketing firm of Ogilvy and Mather. His first job was as a creative artist and copywriter. This job involved him creating ads and writing the script for them.
After four years at Ogilvy and Mather as a copywriter and creative artist, Alexandre Gama went to work for a marketing firm called DM9. He would also spend four years at this company and worked as both a creative director and copywriter who produced ads. Following his exit from DM9, Mr. Gama was hired by the firms of Almap BBDO and Young & Rubicam.
Alexandre Gama eventually founded his own firm after making a name for himself in the advertising industry. He started Neogama in 1999 and continues to operate the firm into the present time. Neogama uses to be in partnership with the British agency called BBH. Neogama split and became fully independent in 2016 and is now led solely by Alexandre Gama.
