Brazilian Auto Manufacturing Executive Carlos Alberto de Oliveira Andrade

Carlos Alberto de Oliveira Andrade began his very successful career in the auto manufacturing industry back in 1979 when he bought a Ford Landau from a dealership that had gone bankrupt before they could deliver his new car to him, as per As a way to compensate him for not being able to give him the vehicle, the executives at the company, which was named Vepel, decided to give him a job position there. Within 6 years, Carlos Alberto de Oliveira Andrade had formed his own operation in the auto industry. He named it the CAOA Group, and it became the largest Ford dealership in Latin America. The CAOA dealership was named after its founder, taking the first letter from each of his names. By 1992, the company had expanded enough to start importing its vehicles.

CAOA Group is a distributor of popular car brands such as Ford, Subaru, Hyundai, and the Chinese car brand known as Chery. In an article from Contrate Palestras, it says that the group was called on to represent the Subaru model in 1998, and the Hyundai model in 1999, and in September of 2017, CAOA Group acquired 51% of Chery’s assembly operations in Brazil and formed a new company called CAOA Chery. The company has said that it plans to invest $2 billion in the business over the next 5 years in order to grow it into one of the best manufacturers and exporters of the Chinese car model in that country.

It was in 2007 that the company opened up its assembly factory in the Agribusiness district of Anapolis, and because of the leadership skills of Carlos Alberto de Oliveira Andrade, the business later awarded him with the title Entrepreneur of the Year, a recognition that was given to him by Isto E’ Dinheiro magazine. Born in Joao Pessoa, Paraiba, Brazil on November 25, 1943, the auto distribution executive has accomplished a lot in his long career in the auto industry. With an impressive net worth of over $2 billion, Carlos Alberto de Oliveira Andrade has made it onto the Forbes magazine Billionaire List as being one of the wealthiest corporate leaders in Latin America.
